It's funny how you can be held by someone and yet feel cold. It's funny how you can be surrounded by people and yet feel so alone. It sometimes scares me how we can choose what we see and what we don't, so we can stay the same; Believing no one cares, no one sees, and no one would notice if we went away. It's funny how you can want someone to love you and yet not want that at the same time. It's funny how you want to know what the future will bring and yet still want that element of surprise. It's funny that what they say is so true - that you must first love yourself before you can let another love you. But how they forget to tell you that although you may love someone forever, they may not love you the way you want them to. You want to be in control, and yet you want other people to make decisions for you; too tired to take care of your life you fail to see that indecision is deciding not to. It's funny how you can feel everything and nothing at all, at once. It's funny how you can know of love and pain, of hope and sorrow, and yet feel numb.
